I'm Not Sure Who is Lamer

Owen Wilson was paid $100,000 to attend a Mercedes-Benz-sponsored Hamptons polo match. When other guests tried to speak with him, he reportedly said, “That’s not my job.”

The way I see this:
Owen is lame for taking the money, cool for fucking with Mercedes Benz, and lame for blowing anyone off, but cool for blowing off a lame-o sponsored polo match attendee.

I'm confused.
