Jersey City at the Culture Wars
So, at first I was going to post about how embarassing it was that Jersey City tried to ban rock and roll. It was the 50s, but come on!!!

However, upon review, I have decided that it was probably a good thing to ban something that could be labeled a "Whiteman Frolic."
That phrase just conjures up strange visions of dancing sprites in dockers and boat shoes, prancing around a fire under the Jersey City moon!!!
